Thame Valley Trek

Thame, a way station on the trade to Tibet over Nangpa La pass, a larg village with an old monastery and glorious view of the Kwangde range and its western Tenkangpoche extension, besides the Thamserku and Kangtega mountains. It is a pleasant 3-4 hour hike from Namche Bazaar, and while you can return the same day, it is best to make it a two day trip, so you can enjoy the place.

• Please note that climbers have been delayed in Lukla awaiting return to KTM. At times helicopters can fly when planes cannot. Helicopter cost is approximately $500 -600 paid by the trekker.
• We prefer to have 30% of the total amount after the confirmation of the booking and, the rest amount our clients can make it upon arrival in Kathmandu.

Day 01 Arrival in Kathmandu
Day 02 Half-day city tour and drive to Manthali (Ramechhap)
Day 03 Manthali (Ramechhap) – Lukla (2800 m) by plane (10min) –Phakding
Day 04 Phakding – Namche Bazar (3446m)
Day 05 Namche Bazar: Rest and acclimatization day.
Day 06 Namche – Thame 3960m.
Day 07 Thame – (hiking to Sumdoor Peak and visiting Thame and Kyrok monastery)
Day 08 Trek Thame – Arya (4500m)
Day 09 Arya- hiking till Soum Nagh Lake (4900m) and back to Arya
Day 10 Arya-Thame
Day 11 Thame – Khumjung village
Day 12 Khumjung – Monjo
Day 13 Monjo – Lukla
Day 14 Lukla – Manthali (Ramechhap) drive back to Kathmandu
Day 15 Departure
