Naya Kanga Peak


Naya Kanga(5,844 m), also known as Ganja-La Chuli, is magnificently situated in the Langtang region of Nepal which rises to the west of Ganja La, and is a popular but difficult mountain to climb. The normal route to this peak is via the snowy north-east ridge. The first climber of this peak is still unknown. The most important reward of climbing Naya Kang is the stunning view of Lantang Lirung (7246m), Lenpo Gang 7083m), Dorje Lakpa (6990m) and mighty Shishapangma (8027m) in Tibetan side. Easy access to the region and availability of several snow peaks scattered around for acclimatization make this region an ideal destination for mountaineers.

This trekking peak climbing can be accomplished in Langtang valley.The Langtang valley is surrounded by high peaks of great appeal. It has become famous ever since the British mountaineer Bill Tilman described it as the most beautiful valley in the world. The highest peak in this area is Shisapangma or Gosaithan 8027m in Tibet.

Day 02: Kathmandu valley sightseeing & trek preparation (1,300m/4,264 ft)
Day 03: Kathmandu – Dhunche (1950m /6435ft) 7 /8 hrs. drive, 117KM
Day 04: Dhunche – Thulo Syabru (1900m /6270ft) 5/6 hrs. walk
Day 05: Thulo Syabru – Lama Hotel (2470m /8104ft) 5/6 hrs walk
Day 06: Lama Hotel- Langtang (3430m /11253ft) 5- 6 hours
Day 07: Langtang – Kyanjin Gompa: (3870m /12697ft) 4/5 hrs. walk
Day 08: Kyanjin Gompa: Day explore
Day 09: Kyanjin Gompa – Nyengang Kharka (4430 m/14500 ft) 4-5 hrs trek
Day 10: Nyengang Kharka – High Camp (4960 m/16300ft) 3-4 hrs
Day 11: High camp – Naya Khang Summit (5846 m)- High Camp: 9-10 hrs
Day 12: High camp – Kyanjin gompa (3870 m/12697ft) 6-7 hrs trek
Day 13: Kyanjin Gompa- Lama Hotel: (2470m /8150ft) 7-8 hours
Day 14: Lama Hotel – via Sherpa Gaun to Syabru Besi (1440m /4750ft) 5/6 hrs walk
Day 15: Syabru Besi – Kathmandu (1300m /4264ft) 8/10 hrs. drive, 132 KM and free afternoon.
Day 16: Final departure



  • Accommodation in Kathmandu
  • Accommodation during trek ; local lodges 8 days (8 breakfasts, 8 lunches, 7 dinners, tea, coffee and twin-share rooms with beds with comfortable foam mattress and pillows included)
