Mt. Manaslu lies in the western part of Nepal. Mt. Manaslu rises to 8163m. above the sea level. Mr Toshio Imanish of Japan 1st time scaled Mt. Manaslu on May 09, 1956 via North East Face. Makalu is the eight highest mountain in the world. Makalu is a very beautiful but extremely challenging and potentially dangerous mountain. Hardly more than 200 mountaineers have stood on her summit – Makalu should be treating with the greatest respect. Makalu situated between Everest and Kanchenjunga, on the Nepal-Tibetan border.

Manaslu also known as “Kutang” is the eighth highest mountain in the world, and is located in the Mansiri Himal, part of the Nepalese Himalaya, in the west-central part of Nepal. Its name, which means “Mountain of the Spirit”, comes from the Sanskrit word Manasa, meaning “intellect” or “soul”. The Manaslu region offers a variety of trekking options. The popular Manaslu trekking route of 177km, skirts the Manaslu massif over the pass down to Annapurna. The Nepalese Government only permitted trekking of this circuit in 1991. The trekking trail follows an ancient salt-trading route along the Budhi Gandaki river Enroot, 10 peaks over 6,500m (21,300 ft) are visible, including a few over 7,000.
