Manaslu(also known as Kutang) is one of the famous and eighth highest mountains in the Gorkha District in Nepal as well as in the world at 8,163 meters (26,781 ft) above the sea level. This region has recently been de-restricted and opened to international tourism.Located in the central Gorkha district bordering Tibet and also the renowned part of the Nepalese Himalaya’s. The meaning of this mountain comes from its name, which means “Mountain of the spirit”, originates from the Sanskrit word Manasa, implies “intellect” or “soul”. Toshio Imanishi and Gyalzen Norbu who were members of a Japanese excursion climbed first time on Manaslu on 9 May 1959. That is why some British consider that Manaslu has always been a Japanese mountain. It is one of the enthralling trekking mountains and also it is extremely rich in natural beauty and cultural heritage.It offers a variety of adventure trekking options for trekkers. We start the trek from the fascinating old city of Gorkha, the antique kingdom of the Shah Dynasty that has a mixed Buddhist and Hindu culture.
