In Tibetan, Namtso means ‘Heavenly Lake’. Namtso is famous for its high altitude and beautiful scenery. Being the second largest saltwater lake in China only after Qinghai Lake, Namtso Lake is the biggest lake throughout Tibet, also one of the three sacred lakes in Tibet. With 4,718 meters (15,475 feet) above sea level and covering 1,900 square kilometers (735 square miles), the lake is the highest saltwater lake in the world.
You can fly from Mainland China or from Kathmandu to Lhasa, we will explore capital city of Tibet, we continue drive by jeep to eastern north from Lhasa Drigong Monastery, Reting Monastery, Lake Namtso a Tibet second biggest Salt Lake covering 1900 Square Kms in the buttons of High Mountains. After Breakfast we drive 75 km along unpaved Road to Drigong Monastery
Will takes 3 hrs, rest of time explore surroundings take resting.
Day 04 : Drigong Monastery – Reting Monastery, O/n tent Full Board Basis.
Drive 80 kms, off beaten road, offers huge wide grassland and nomads camps with their cattle. We will camp near by Monastery.
Day 05 : Reting Monastery – Namtso Lake, O/n tent Full Board Basis.
Long drive, half portion of road is paved, driving comfortable, majestic Himalaya Views, we cross pass 5180 M pass before get in to Lake Namtso.
Day 06 : Lake Namtso-Lhasa O/n Hotel, BB Basis.
