Peak Climbing in Nepal

Mountain Peak & Trekking Areas :

Nepal is also known as the country of snow-capped mountain peaks. Nepal has more than 1300 peaks above 6,000 meters. And eight of the 14 peaks above 8,000 meters are here in Nepal. The lower parts of the Himalayan ranges and various beautiful valleys and hilly and plain lands have proved to be the paradises for trekkers and nature lovers. The Khumbu region, Annapurna Trekking Circuit, Kanchanjunga Area, Helambu site, Jiri area, among others are famous sites for trekkers.

Ask any visitor “What is Nepal’s biggest attraction?”. The answer invariably will be the Himalaya. Many come to simply look and be over whelmed while many others come to conquer. Today, the Nepalese Himalaya plays host to huge contingents of aspiring as well as accomplished mountaineers from all over the world every year.

Among the expedition circuits, the most popular are:
Annapurna region to the north of Pokhara
Everest region in eastern Nepal
Langtang-Helambu region north of Kathmandu

There are four seasons for Mountaineering in Nepal :

Spring (March-May), summer (June – August), autumn (September-November) and winter (December-February). While weather conditions during spring and autumn are fairly favorable, they can turn quite unpredictable in summer and winter. No wonder most of the mountaineering expeditions try to take their shots at the peaks of their choice during spring and autumn. This does not, however, stop the more hardy souls to run the gauntlet during the other seasons, and many have done so successfully.

  • Please note that climbers have been delayed in Lukla awaiting return to KTM. At times helicopters can fly when planes cannot. Helicopter cost is approximately $500 -600 paid by the trekker.
  • We prefer to have 30% of the total amount after the confirmation of the booking and, the rest amount our clients can make it upon arrival in Kathmandu.
