Your trip starts from the next morning & we will brief your entire plan. We will do some gear checking to make sure all things are set for our ski expedition to Mera.
Today you will take an early morning 45 mins flight to Lukla. Lukla is the main gateway to the Everest region. After taking breakfast, you will hike south from Everest towards Paiya (Chutok).
Today you will ascent a narrow trail high above the Dudh Kosi Valley. Later you will enter into rhododendron forest which led you to a Small monastery called Pangkongma la. Then you pass through the Hinku Khola river. On climbing towards the campsite you will reach Nashing Dingma.
Today you will hike through beautiful green fields then move towards rocky path & climb up on rocky stairs to reach Kurke. Overnight at tented camp
Today you will have to walk on snow & snow-capped hills. After a challenging snow walk, you will finally reach Thuli Kharka. Overnight at tented camp
On this day, you will move towards Khote. After a few minutes’ walks, you will see a glimpse of Panch Pokhari. From here, you will follow the rocky path downhill & finally reach Khote. Kothe lies to the west side of the Hinku valley and offers serene wilderness to trekkers. Overnight at tented camp
We continue our trek along the ridge of Hinku river passing Lungsamba Gompa which was built approximately 200 years ago. We will explore around for some time and again continue our walk and finally come to stop at Tangnak. You will be camping here & prepare for the next day.
Today you will head for Khare. En route, you will pass through Kharka village & then you will step in the land of lakes & glaciers. It might be tough but it does worth as you get to see Mera peak from Khare. Enjoy the time on the mountain skiing/snowboarding.
Acclimatization is very essential in higher altitudes to avoid mental and physical sickness. We will have basic mountaineering training such as using ropes, ice axes, crampons, harness, and other equipment.
Within these days moving to Base camp (4900 m) and summit (7246m), enjoy the time on the mountain, Skiing/Snowboarding, Training(ski/snowboard). Mera has 3 summits- the short steep snow slope is easily climbed, but the last one requires the extra effort. Mountain views for here are spectacular including Mt.Everest, Makalu, Lhotse, Cho Oyu, Amadablam and many more. After achieving the summit we gradually re-trace our steps back to Khare.
Today you will have a spare day. Since its high altitude rest is required to save energy & get going. A rest day can be beneficial in case we might not be able to climb to the summit due to bad weather conditions.
Today we will walk back from Khare to Kothe following the same trail that we took before. Overnight at Khote.
You will retrace your steps back to Thuli Kharka. From Tuli Kharka we can enjoy the magnificent views of Mera North, Mera Central and south face of Mera Peak.
Today is the last day of our trek on foot. We will trek to Lukla via Zatrwa La pass where you initially started your trek. Your official trek ends here at Lukla No more walks from here cheers!
You will fly back to Kathmandu. A half an hour Himalayan flight could be relaxing after a tiring long journey. We will have a farewell dinner to celebrate your trip success.
We will escort you to the airport according to your schedule.
