Day 04: Arusha
We depart Nairobi City for Arusha by DHL Shuttle and you spend the night at a hotel of your choice at an extra cost. Arusha is the safari capital of Tanzania and is a main tourism centre.
Day 05: Lake Manyara
After breakfast, we drive to Lake Manyara National park where we have our picnic lunch at the campsite and then proceed on an afternoon game drive. Regardless of the direction we approach Manyara from, the view is always fantastic.
Lake Manyara’s main attractions are its rich bird life, tree climbing lions and its hippos which you can see at a closer range than many other places.
Day 06: Serengeti
After breakfast we drive to the great Serengeti National Park viewing game enroute. We overnight at Seronera Campsite.
Serengeti is Africa’s most famous and Tanzania’s largest park covering 14,736 sq km and is adjoining with the Masai Mara National reserve in Kenya
Day 07: Serengeti
Spend the whole day game viewing in the Serengeti with a break for lunch at the campsite. Dinner and overnight at Simba Campsite.
Day 08: Olduvai Gorge
Wake up early for a morning sunrise game drive returning to the camp for breakfast. We then proceed to
The Olduvai Gorge cuts through rock beds layered in time sequence from 2 million years ago to the present. It is here where humanoid bones have been found dating back to over 1.75 million years including a direct ancestor of modern man. Fossil footprints (over three million years old) have also been found here and are the most ancient footprints yet discovered. Dinner and overnight at Simba Campsite.
Day 09: Ngorongoro to Arusha
After breakfast, we descend into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater for a tour with picnic lunches. In the afternoon we drive back to the bustling Arusha town where we spend the night at the campsite.
The Ngorongoro crater is the world’s biggest whole volcanic caldera at 8300 sq km and is arguably the most stunning arena.
Day 10: Arusha
Depart for Arusha National Park after breakfast for a game drive with packed lunches. This petite national park not only guards Africa’s fifth highest mountain, but it also brags obvious views to the continent’s highest peak, a number of striking lakes, a stunning volcanic crater, a habitat assortment encompassing everything from rain forests to thriving savannah to alpine moor land, as well as a fine variety of great mammals and birds.
We drop you off at a hotel of your choice in Arusha at an extra cost.
Day 11: Nairobi
Drive back to Nairobi by D.H.L. Shuttle
Day 12: Depart Africa to Kathmandu or destination
